Chilli Chocolate Cake ingredients:

  • 8 large eggs
  • 2 cups cocoa powder
  • 2 cups demerara sugar
  • ½ cup coconut oil
  • 2 tbsp. dried chilli flakes
  • 2 limes (juice of)
  • 1 tsp. pink Himalayan salt

 

For the chocolate glaze:

  • ½ cup coconut oil
  • 2 cups cocoa powder
  • 2 cups icing sugar
  • 2 tbsp. lime juice

    Instructions:

    For the cake:

    1. Melt the coconut oil and mix all ingredients together
    2. Pour the mixture into a 23 x 7cm (9 x 2.4') cake tin which has been oiled with a little coconut oil.
    3. Bake at 180c degrees (pre-heated fan oven) for 50 – 60 minutes.
    4. The centre will be soft in the middle and slightly jiggle.
    5. Leave for 10hrs before cutting or after 15 minutes, put in the fridge and cut 2 hrs later.  

     

    For the glaze:

    1. Melt the coconut oil and mix all ingredients together.
    2. Apply to cake, once the cake has completely cooled.
