Find Out How Designer Garms, Garden Parties and Soup Can Help Locals in Need

Shopping Made Good

Help the environment, soothe your soul and donate to a good cause by hunting out designer gems at legendary local vintage fashion destination, Retromania, which also happens to be a charity shop. Buying second hand means you are recycling as well as sending your money to disadvantaged children and young adults in need of serious support. And while you're at it, why not donate a few hours of your time, or give your wardrobe a spring clean and anoint that shirt or dress that has never quite made it out of your closet for a higher purpose at the same time?

Tackle Local Homelessness

Join your favourite BBC Radio 4 icon David Dimbleby in supporting local homelessness charity The Passage, which has an excellent track record in supporting homeless people back into work and accommodation. Make the most of opportunities to volunteer, hold your own fundraiser, join a sports challenge such as Tough Mudder (if you dare), or simply attend one of their big annual fundraising events such as their glorious summer garden party at Westminster Abbey.

Small Works, Big Impact

Innovative hub of social enterprise and community action, Small Works, based in the Peabody Estate a stone's throw from Victoria Station, offers a plethora of ways to get involved in the local community. Donate your skills and expertise to educate and enrich the lives of less advantaged and low income locals residents, or find out how you and your business can get involved with social enterprise pioneer projects by attending Project Soup crowdfunding meetings (with soup!) designed to celebrate and support local projects.
